The Maddalena Archipelago lies in a 50-hectare marine perimeter to the north-east of Sardinia. Listed as a national park in 1994, the granite rocks with their strange wind-carved silhouettes are the last vestiges of the junction between Sardinia and Corsica, millions of years ago. You will sail through this paradise of seven islands - La Maddalena, Caprera, Spargi, Santo Stefano, Budelli, Santa Maria et Razzolli - and sixty or so rocky islets. As a result of their strategic position in the Mediterranean, the former Italian military base of La Maddalena attracted the attention of Napoléon Bonaparte and Admiral Nelson. With 180 km of coastline, these marvellous landscapes compose an ode to dreaming and escape.
