The local saying claims that “whoever comes to Chausey will come back 300 times!” The islands of Chausey compete in their beauty and are well worth a visit, particularly during the spring tides. The Chausey archipelago consists of 365 islets at low tide and 52 at high tide, with the Grande Île located 17 kilometres from Granville. From your ship, you will be able to admire the lighthouse standing 39 metres above the sea as well as the island’s semaphore, built in 1867 on the summit of the Gros-Mont hill. There are many white sand beaches, some of which are devoted to tourists and bathing. Chausey’s natural heritage is a protected zone, notably belonging to the French Coastal protection agency.
